This international prize, of €10,000, recognizes the achievement of an aromatherapy / clinical team that uses scientific principles to guide their  aromatherapy in a health facility, as a complementary treatment. Candidates should demonstrate (using clinical evidence) direct benefits to the patient with regards to their treatment outcome and/or well-being.

PROCESS

This René-Maurice Gattefossé International Prize is not based on an open call for applications. Each year, the Gattefossé Foundation identifies and invites clinical teams, healthcare institutions, or interdisciplinary collaborations whose work is considered particularly relevant to the objectives of the Prize.

Potential nominees may be identified through:

• scientific publications,

• clinical programmes,

• professional networks,

• expert recommendations,

• conference presentations,

• or other recognised contributions to the field of clinical aromatherapy.

 Following nomination by the Foundation, invited candidates will be requested to submit their dossier describing their project, team, achievements, and future perspectives via this platform.

Eligible projects should demonstrate:

• the use of aromatherapy within a healthcare setting,

• involvement of qualified healthcare professionals,

• an evidence-informed approach,

• a clear benefit for patients, caregivers, or healthcare systems,

• and an evaluation process appropriate to the nature of the project. 

Projects may originate from hospitals, universities, hospices, community healthcare services, long-term care facilities, integrative medicine centres, or other healthcare environments.
